The floor is covered in Portuguese ceramic tiles that frame the room. The many different hues represented in these tiles not only connect to Portuguese history and its relationship to the United States (US), but create beautiful contrast against the yellow walls. Limestone moldings frame each entrance and window, while additional plaster moldingsornament the walls and artwork.
